CHINA SUNTIEN (HKEX: 00956) has announced its operational results for the second quarter and the first half of the year.
For the second quarter of the year, the group's consolidated power generation volume reached 3.8244 million megawatt-hours, representing a year-on-year increase of 3.20%. The volume of electricity supplied to the grid during the same period was 3.73 million megawatt-hours, up 3.11% compared to the previous year.
As of June 30, the cumulative power generation for the first six months totaled 8.1824 million megawatt-hours, which is a decrease of 0.82% from the same period last year. The cumulative volume of electricity supplied to the grid was 7.9829 million megawatt-hours, down 0.96% year-on-year.
From January to June, the group's average on-grid electricity price, excluding tax, was 0.41 yuan per kilowatt-hour, marking a 2.70% decline compared to the previous year.
In the gas segment for the second quarter, the group's consolidated gas transmission and sales volume was 730 million cubic meters, a significant decrease of 24.48% year-on-year. This figure includes gas sales of 652 million cubic meters, down 27.05%, and gas transmission volume of 78.6697 million cubic meters, which increased by 6.76%.
Cumulatively for the first half, total gas transmission and sales volume reached 2.252 billion cubic meters, a reduction of 19.96% compared to the prior year. This consists of gas sales of 2.024 billion cubic meters, down 21.45%, and gas transmission volume of 228 million cubic meters, which decreased by 3.67%.
