Shares of Keppel Ltd (BN4.SI) surged 3.09% during intraday trading on Wednesday, as investors cheered two major positive developments that underscore the company's successful transformation into a global asset manager and infrastructure solutions provider.

The rally came after Keppel announced that it has surpassed its interim target of achieving S$100 billion (US$77.36 billion) in funds under management (FUM) by the end of 2026, hitting the milestone well ahead of schedule. The company added approximately S$13.5 billion in FUM so far this year across its infrastructure, real estate and connectivity private funds, reinforcing its asset-light business model and recurring fee income streams.

Adding to the positive sentiment, Apollo Global Management committed US$1.5 billion to Keppel's Offshore Fund, which will hold and manage a portfolio of offshore energy assets. This transaction highlights rising institutional appetite for capital solutions in offshore energy and further validates Keppel's pivot toward an asset-light, fee-based investment narrative. Together, these developments signal strong momentum in Keppel's Vision 2030 strategy, which targets S$200 billion in FUM by 2030.
