At its global technology conference on September 9, JD.com introduced the JD Bailing Digital Employee, a new enterprise-facing solution designed to reshape corporate labor structures by delivering outcome-oriented digital productivity. The offering targets business scenarios characterized by high labor intensity, repetitive tasks, and complex workflows, providing digital labor to streamline operations.

The initial lineup of digital employees spans four key areas—interview and research, outbound calling, customer service, and asset management—all of which support out-of-the-box deployment with results-based delivery. According to company figures, these digital employees have already achieved measurable outcomes, including a 50% reduction in labor costs, a fivefold increase in case handling volume, a tenfold improvement in user research efficiency, and a tenfold boost in marketing ROI.

Liu Yang, Vice President at JD.com, emphasized that the industry does not need another demonstration, but rather new productivity that can be delivered at scale and with assessable returns. The JD Bailing Digital Employee operates on an Agent Loop core framework, enabling autonomous decision-making, and connects to existing enterprise systems through a zero-code interface. This approach allows JD.com to channel its accumulated expertise in retail, finance, and logistics into specialized skills, while continuously learning and iterating within real business operations.
