Centurion Corporation Limited (OU8) said on Apr, 20 2026 that it has acquired an operational key worker accommodation asset in Karratha, Western Australia, marking the Singapore-based group’s first move into the key worker accommodation segment.

The property comprises two facilities – Velocity Village with 93 double-occupancy rooms (186 beds) for operational resource-sector employees, and Velocity Motel & Bistro with 135 single-occupancy executive rooms. Located about 4.5 kilometres from Karratha’s central business district, the site includes a bistro able to serve up to 500 guests and primarily accommodates corporate clients on fly-in, fly-out rosters.

Centurion said the asset is expected to be earnings accretive upon completion. The acquisition leverages the group’s experience in purpose-built worker and student accommodation and follows the recent listing of its sponsored Centurion Accommodation REIT, which has freed capital for expansion.

The company added that it is assessing additional opportunities in the key worker accommodation segment in Australia and other markets as it continues to grow its specialised living accommodation portfolio, which currently covers 40 operational assets with 81,388 beds worldwide.
