Regulator Approves Acrophyte’s Takeover of Suntec REIT Manager, Completion Targeted for Mar, 17 2026

Suntec Real Estate Investment Trust (T82U) said on Mar, 09 2026 that the Monetary Authority of Singapore has approved Acrophyte Asset Management Pte. Ltd.’s purchase of a 100% indirect stake in its manager, ESR Trust Management (Suntec) Limited, from subsidiaries of ESR Group Limited.

The approval clears the main regulatory condition for the deal, and Acrophyte, an entity controlled by Gordon Tang, has informed Suntec REIT that completion is expected on Mar, 17 2026.

Suntec REIT’s Singapore portfolio includes Suntec City, a 66.3% interest in Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre, and one-third stakes in One Raffles Quay as well as Marina Bay Financial Centre Towers 1 and 2 with the Marina Bay Link Mall. Overseas holdings span assets in Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, and London.
