越南电动汽车制造商VinFast Auto近日宣布了扩张计划，将在越南建立第二家生产工厂，以期将产能翻倍，满足市场对其小型和中型车型的日益增长需求。新工厂预计将具备年产30万辆汽车的能力，与公司在海防的现有工厂持平，并计划于明年7月正式投产。
在2024年的前九个月，VinFast全球交付量接近45,000辆，接近其全年80,000辆目标的55%。尽管如此，公司高管仍对实现年度目标表示乐观。新工厂将专注于生产VF 3和VF 5车型，服务于国内外市场。
VinFast的母公司Vingroup的副董事长兼首席执行官Nguyen Viet Quang在声明中表示：“随着国际市场对电动汽车的需求迅速增长，增建工厂将为VinFast未来的关键且快速扩张阶段打下坚实基础。”
VinFast上个月公布的第三季度净亏损已减少至5.5亿美元，这一改善归因于材料成本的降低和产量的增加。
此外，VinFast还宣布了在印度尼西亚和印度建立装配厂的计划，并将原定于北卡罗来纳州的工厂启动时间推迟至2028年。这些举措标志着VinFast在全球电动汽车市场中的进一步扩张和深化。
