Recently, the Department of Energy Conservation and Comprehensive Utilization of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology announced the 2025 Green Manufacturing List. COFCO Coca-Cola Beverages (Guizhou) Co., Ltd. has successfully been included in the national-level "Green Factory" roster. This achievement marks a critical step forward in the sustainable development journey of the Guizhou plant, following its recognition as a provincial-level green factory in 2023. It also adds another significant national-level green credential to Guizhou's manufacturing sector.
The selection criteria for national-level green factories are stringent, requiring comprehensive fulfillment of five key dimensions: intensive land use, harmless raw materials, clean production, waste resource utilization, and low-carbon energy. This inclusion signifies that the Guizhou plant has reached an advanced level domestically within its industry in terms of green manufacturing and management systems.
As an important part of COFCO Coca-Cola's strategic layout in the southwestern region, the Guizhou plant was officially completed and began operations in 2022 in the Gui'an New Area. With a total investment of approximately 270 million yuan and covering nearly 157 acres, the facility currently operates four intelligent production lines with an annual capacity of 300,000 tons. The plant has directly created hundreds of jobs and actively stimulates upstream and downstream enterprises, with its production capacity radiating to surrounding areas.
The successful practices of the Guizhou plant provide a replicable case study for Guizhou in attracting high-end food manufacturing enterprises and promoting green industrial development. Moving forward, COFCO Coca-Cola's Guizhou plant will continue to increase investment in green technologies and actively expand innovative practices in energy conservation and emissions reduction. Furthermore, the plant plans to open some of its green technology application scenarios, sharing practical experience in areas such as intelligent energy saving and resource recycling with local enterprises.
"We aim to be a participant and driver of Guizhou's industrial green transformation. Through collaborative innovation with local companies, we hope to jointly enhance the green standards of the industrial chain," said Zhang Yanfei, General Manager of COFCO Coca-Cola Beverages (Guizhou) Co., Ltd.
