RAYMOND IND Issues Profit Warning Predicting First-Half Loss of Approximately HK$10-11 Million Compared to Prior Year Profit

RAYMOND IND (00229) has issued a profit warning, announcing that based on a preliminary review of its unaudited financial results for the six months ending June 30, 2026, the group expects to record a loss ranging from approximately HK$10 million to HK$11 million for the period. This compares to an unaudited net profit of HK$32.505 million for the six months ending June 30, 2025.

The expected loss for the six months ending June 30, 2026 is primarily attributed to three factors: (1) foreign exchange losses arising from the appreciation of the Renminbi; (2) increased operating costs due to the expansion of operations in Indonesia to mitigate geopolitical risks associated with the Sino-US trade dispute; and (3) a significant surge in commodity prices, particularly for plastics, copper, aluminum, lithium batteries, and printed circuit board components, as a result of the impact of the "US-Iran" war.
