Event: 2025 Sustainable Global Leaders Conference & First Green Industry and Sustainable Consumption Expo The 2025 Sustainable Global Leaders Conference was held from October 16 to 18 in the Shanghai World Expo Park. Liu Yuqing, Assistant General Manager of CPIC, shared insights on the practices and explorations of insurance companies in the financial transformation process. Liu emphasized that life insurance companies are always alongside their customers. Every penny earned in wealth management is shared with clients, highlighting that insurance firms exist in a true partnership with customers. Thus, addressing customer needs and reconstructing strategic pathways are seen as the only route for life insurance companies toward sustainable development. He pointed out that there is significant insurance consumption potential among the upper-middle class, but AI could potentially eliminate the middle class in the future. From today's perspective, the middle class bears the brunt of market competition risks. The challenge lies in safeguarding the wealth of the middle class and transforming the triangular customer demographic into a healthier olive-shaped structure, which represents a crucial strategic choice for the life insurance sector moving forward.
