XD INC (02400) saw its shares rise more than 8% during intraday trading. By the time of writing, the stock was up 5.05%, trading at HK$83.25 with a turnover of HK$235 million. The increase follows the launch of the global version of "XD Town," which initiated pre-event activities on February 7 and a formal event on February 14 in collaboration with the My Little Pony IP. The overseas version of "XD Town" quickly topped the iOS mobile game download charts in multiple markets including Japan, the United States, and South Korea upon release, and maintained the number one position on Japan's iOS download chart for over ten consecutive days. Driven by themed events such as "Ice and Snow Season" and "Forest Spell," the game's global revenue surged 516% in January, contributing to a doubling of XD INC's revenue. Analysis suggests that social media buzz around the global version of "XD Town" continues to grow. Additionally, the game's extensive user-generated content holds significant social display value. As players progress and unlock more gameplay features, sharing content on social media is expected to further expand the game's reach and user base.
