A symposium held on September 15 brought together Changsha Commerce & Tourism College and Hunan Pinrui Business Group to deepen their school-enterprise cooperation and industry-education integration.
Focusing on the key areas of "AI + Bidding, AI + Hunan Cuisine, and AI + Cultural Tourism," representatives from the school, the enterprise, and think tanks gathered to chart a new blueprint for integrated development. The event explored how artificial intelligence could solve industry-specific challenges, such as introducing intelligent elements into the culinary arts or ensuring compliance in government procurement through large-scale models.
Su Yong, Chairman of the Pinrui Group and a distinguished alumnus of the college, reviewed the journey of cooperation that led to the joint establishment of an industry college and a "Zhixin Workshop," as well as the development of new academic programs. Thanks to a bidirectional selection process for students and enterprises, this collaboration has already helped 53 fellow alumni enhance their professional skills and employment competitiveness. With the rollout of the "Luan Feng Business Partner Development Plan," the number of trainees is poised to grow, laying a solid foundation for this strengthened partnership.
"In the next phase, building upon our 'Biao Zhu Xia' AI intelligent bidding platform, we will pursue 'AI + Hunan Cuisine' as the Group's second growth curve. We plan to empower the innovation and upgrading of the Hunan cuisine industry through four key pathways: intelligent recipe development and taste standardization, supply chain optimization, intelligent store operations, and the digital preservation of Hunan culinary culture," said Su Yong.
Addressing the challenge of making industry-education integration a proactive endeavor, Tang Xuewei, former Editor-in-Chief of the Hong Kong Commercial Daily's Hunan Office, proposed a specialized reporting framework guided by "three sets of information, seven dimensions, and three channels." He suggested focusing on "industry-education integration and AI-empowered new models for vocational talent cultivation in the service sector" to provide intellectual support for policy development. Remote presentations from representatives of China Electronic Cloud outlined technical pathways, recommending the establishment of an "industrial data middle platform" to gain a competitive edge in the realm of digital standards.
During the discussion session, the Hunan Cuisine College, the Digital Intelligence Finance College, and various administrative departments unanimously agreed that the collaboration plan is grounded in "real business, real data, and real deliverables." They pledged their support in several areas, including the digital archiving of intangible cultural heritage, the integration of compliance courses for government procurement, and the alignment of credit hours with educational reform projects.
"Artificial intelligence is not about setting up 'pure engineering' disciplines from scratch; rather, it is about leveraging AI to solve our genuine industrial problems—from Hunan cuisine flavors and tourism scenarios to bidding compliance—and turning real-world industry scenarios into authentic educational environments," stated Jin Libin, Deputy Party Secretary and President of Changsha Commerce & Tourism College. He emphasized that industry-education integration must involve "real projects in the classroom, with tangible results verified by the industry," and that educational outcomes should be judged by the market and enterprises. The college should proactively engage with government bodies to translate think tank insights into policy resources. By utilizing the dual engines of the "Biao Zhu Xia" platform and AI-powered Hunan cuisine, the focus should expand into AI + Cultural Tourism and AI + Rural Revitalization, establishing "the transformation of first-tier city AI capabilities on a Changsha campus" as a unique label for Hunan's vocational education. This will pave the way for a differentiated development path where the school drives AI innovation, which in turn enriches the school's distinctive educational character.
Both the school and the enterprise have decided to comprehensively upgrade their cooperation based on the existing foundation. Adhering to the principles of "pilot before promotion, evidence before results," they will execute their plan through a four-step rolling process: "MVP validation, pilot class operation, standard output, and special report submission." This approach aims to create a cross-industry, education-integrated model with distinctive Hunan characteristics.
