The Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area (also known as Beijing E-Town or Yizhuang) has officially launched the "2026 E-Town Robot Consumer Festival." This year's event, centered on the theme "Buying and Selling Robots, Come to Beijing Yizhuang," represents a comprehensive upgrade from the 2025 edition, aimed at bridging the final gap between technology and the market.

According to official sources from Beijing Yizhuang, the inaugural global E-Town Robot Consumer Festival was held in August 2025, generating total sales exceeding 330 million yuan and selling over 190,000 robots and related products. Consumer vouchers directly stimulated more than 70 million yuan in sales, while the average daily sales of robots and AI categories on JD.com saw a sequential increase of 101.9%. The world's first embodied intelligent robot 4S store generated multiple million-yuan orders within 16 days, with orders exceeding 1 million yuan accounting for 25% of total sales.

This year's festival has increased the dedicated consumer stimulus funds from the inaugural event's 15 million yuan to 18 million yuan, with a particular focus on supporting the AI and embodied intelligence sectors. The process for claiming consumer vouchers has been significantly simplified, now supporting one-click verification via a WeChat mini-program using a mobile phone number.

The festival is being held in conjunction with the 2026 World Robot Conference, innovatively establishing a four-in-one event model combining "conference, exhibition, competition, and festival." Compared to last year, a new 9,600-square-meter robot consumer street has been added, featuring four major zones: brand showcases, tech and cultural creativity, specialty dining, and interactive entertainment, with nearly 100 booths. Over 50 robot experience devices covering education, elderly care, and home scenarios will be deployed. A pioneering dual-core consumption model of "see the future indoors, buy the present outdoors" has been introduced, along with AR stamp-collecting activities and cultural merchandise sales.

A responsible official from the Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area stated that the scale and variety of offerings in the consumer street have been expanded this year, making it not just a display window but a true consumption space where people can actually "buy." The festival also introduces three new industrial and academic research tour routes: AI Intelligence Exploration, Aerospace Dream Chasing, and Smart Driving Future. These routes connect local industrial and cultural tourism sites such as Xinghai Piano, Beijing Rocket Street, Nanhaizi Milu Park, and BAIC Arcfox, linked by autonomous minibuses.

JD.com has established a dedicated zone for the festival, featuring over 600 robot products, with accompanying online special subsidies. Activities include new product launches, promotional sales, and livestreaming events. Consumer voucher subsidies will cover emerging smart hardware categories such as AI sensing devices, AI mini PCs, and heat transfer machines.

From August 19 to 23, the 2026 World Robot Conference will be held at the Beijing E-Town Boren Yichuang International Convention and Exhibition Center. For the first time, the conference site will feature a dedicated "Robot Shopping Street." This street is divided into indoor and outdoor areas. The indoor area, located in the glass corridor between Halls A and C, will include a Robot-Mall, popular robot experience projects, a smart kitchen station, and official cultural merchandise stores. The outdoor area, situated between Halls B and C, will cover four major zones: brand special exhibitions, large exhibition areas, specialty dining, and tech and cultural creativity, bringing together over 90 vendors. The shopping street will feature a special AR and physical dual-mode stamp-collecting treasure hunt, with a total of 10 stamps set up across the venue.

The official from the Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area emphasized that the region will continue to deepen the integrated development of "artificial intelligence + consumption," using the consumer festival as a link and the World Robot Conference as a stage. The goal is to promote the deep integration of culture, commerce, tourism, sports, and exhibitions, transforming "Buying and Selling Robots, Come to Beijing Yizhuang" into a long-standing brand symbol.
