LC LOGISTICS (02490) announced that on February 27, 2026, the company entered into a shipbuilding agreement with Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. and China Shipbuilding Trading Co., Ltd. Under the 2026 agreement, the shipbuilders are required to construct, launch, equip, and complete the acquired vessels according to specified specifications. The two vessels, identified as H1664 and H1665, are large container ships each with a capacity of 11,000 TEU. They will be sold and delivered to the company after completion and sea trials. Considering the group's experience in operating deep-sea routes, the board believes the acquired vessels will complement the existing fleet. This addition is expected to significantly reduce the cost per TEU sold, enable the group to offer competitive prices to customers, and enhance sustainability amid current volatile market conditions. When demand for cross-border logistics services is strong, the group may deploy the acquired vessels on multiple major routes to provide self-operated cross-border logistics services. During periods of market fluctuation, due to the vessels' strong adaptability and economies of scale, the group may consider chartering them out to maintain stable profitability.
