A notable level of concentration is evident among the top-tier securities firms. CITIC Securities and Guotai Haitong together recorded combined revenues of 96.9 billion yuan, representing 29.38% of the entire industry's total, while their aggregate net profits reached 44.9 billion yuan, accounting for 32.4%.
The top ten brokerages by revenue contributed 75.23% of total industry revenue, the top ten by net profit claimed an 83.37% share, and the leading ten by asset size held a 74% proportion of the sector's total assets.
According to Guosen Securities, the brokerage industry's performance is expected to sustain its strong momentum, driven primarily by structural improvements and business model transformation within proprietary trading operations.
