Prudential plc said it bought back 395,946 ordinary shares on Jun, 29 2026 via the London Stock Exchange at prices between GBP 9.998 and GBP 10.115 per share, for a total consideration of GBP 3.98 million.
All of the repurchased shares are intended for cancellation, bringing the company’s outstanding share count to 2,511,404,073 as of Jun, 29 2026. Earlier, 398,786 shares repurchased on Jun, 25 2026 were cancelled on Jun, 29 2026. In addition, 399,603 shares bought on Jun, 26 2026 and the 395,946 shares acquired on Jun, 29 2026 remain to be cancelled.
The transactions form part of Prudential plc’s existing buyback mandate, under which it is authorised to repurchase up to 262.7 million shares. Cumulative repurchases under this mandate now total 101.6 million shares, equivalent to about 3.90 per cent of the company’s issued share capital when the mandate was approved on May, 14 2025.
Under Hong Kong listing rules, Prudential plc is subject to a moratorium on issuing new shares or selling treasury shares until Jul, 29 2026.
