Zhongyu Energy Holdings Limited repurchased 500,000 ordinary shares on 28 August 2026, deploying HKD 1.27 million under its existing share-buyback mandate.
The shares were acquired on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange at prices ranging from HKD 2.495 to HKD 2.575, implying a volume-weighted average cost of HKD 2.53 per share. The transaction represents 0.02% of Zhongyu Energy’s issued share capital (excluding treasury shares) as of the previous reporting date.
Following the buyback, issued shares outstanding decreased marginally to 2.697 billion, while treasury shares rose to 51.34 million. The total issued share count, inclusive of treasury shares, remains 2.748 billion.
The current buyback formed part of a mandate approved by shareholders on 26 June 2026, authorising the company to repurchase up to 270.56 million shares. To date, 8.64 million shares—equivalent to 0.32% of the share base at the mandate date—have been repurchased under this authority.
In accordance with Hong Kong listing rules, Zhongyu Energy is restricted from issuing new shares or selling treasury shares until 27 September 2026.
