On January 8, Haier Group's Chairman of the Board and CEO, Zhou Yunjie, shared his thoughts on AI development and industrial transformation via a Weibo post.
Zhou Yunjie pointed out that the core leap in the AI field by 2025 is not merely an accumulation of computing power, but the evolution from a static tool to a dynamic living entity. This breakthrough stems from data-driven cognitive compounding, endowing AI with capabilities for self-organization, self-learning, and self-evolution, truly achieving "learning in action and training during execution."
Discussing standout AI products for 2025, Zhou Yunjie believes the industry still faces issues like feature bloat and insufficient user experience. He contends that truly excellent products should be "life partners" capable of perceiving needs and providing proactive service.
He stated that in the future, the choice is to either evolve alongside AI or be marginalized by it. For both enterprises and individuals, the ability to collaborate with intelligent agents will directly determine their developmental potential. The firm belief is that the ultimate value of AI lies in "human-machine symbiosis," enabling every household to possess an autonomously evolving smart companion and every factory to be equipped with an intelligent brain capable of autonomous decision-making.
The following is the original text of the Weibo post: Invited by @Weibo Tech for #2025TechAnnualHotTopics, I am sharing several of my thoughts on AI development and industrial transformation:
Q1. What is the key technological breakthrough driving AI into the next stage in 2025? In my view, the most crucial leap for AI in 2025 is its evolution from a static tool to a dynamic living entity. This breakthrough is far from a simple accumulation of computing power; it is based on data-driven cognitive compounding, granting AI the abilities for self-organization, self-learning, and self-evolution. This allows for continuous iterative optimization through practical application in scenarios, truly realizing "learning in action and training during execution." Haier's interconnected factories serve as a vivid example. Through the intelligent coordination of the COSMOPlat industrial internet platform, we have achieved a high proportion of direct shipping without warehousing. This transforms the manufacturing system from a machine that passively executes commands into a living, evolving ecosystem that can precisely respond to user needs. This is the core value of the deep integration of AI and industry.
Q2. Which AI products in 2025 have truly impressed you? The AI product landscape in 2025 is flourishing. I have tried innovative products like AI smart glasses; features such as teleprompting and photography do offer convenience. However, issues like mid-use disconnections and insufficient battery life persist, indicating significant room for iteration within the industry. In my opinion, a truly good product is never just hardware with a pile of features, but rather a "life partner" that can perceive needs, offer proactive service, and grow continuously. The full range of products launched by Haier, equipped with the "AI Eye," follows this very logic: ovens can automatically identify ingredients to customize programs, range hoods and stoves can intelligently prevent boil-overs, and washing machines can predict dye-transfer risks. This upgrades home appliances from "passive responders" to "proactive caregivers." Behind this lies our commitment to "technology for good," ensuring AI is genuinely rooted in real-world scenarios and serves users.
Q3. Looking ahead to 2026, which trend is an unignorable milestone? Technological innovation must be rooted in industry, serve practical scenarios, and grow within an ecosystem. Looking towards 2026, the exponential application of AI Agents is destined to become a core trend that cannot be overlooked. Haier has long established a three-dimensional layout described as "large models in the sky, intelligent agents in the air, and AI terminals on the ground." Through super agents like Zhi Xiao Neng, we have achieved cross-scenario, cross-device collaborative services. In the future, the imperative is clear: evolve with AI or be marginalized by it. The collaborative capability with intelligent agents will directly dictate the developmental space for both enterprises and individuals. We firmly believe that the ultimate value of AI is "human-machine symbiosis," enabling every family to have an autonomously evolving smart partner and every factory to possess an intelligent brain capable of autonomous decision-making.
