中国东方教育(00667)在最新公告中表示，董事会已获授权可在香港联交所回购最多相当于公司已发行股份总数（不包括库存股份）10%的股份，上限约为2.22亿股。公司称，此举旨在维护股东回报与资本结构，董事会认为符合公司及股东的整体最佳利益。
公告显示，公司现有已发行股份数约为22.18亿股。公司将依据开曼群岛公司法及上市规则，使用合法可动用资金进行购回，具体时机及数量将视市况及公司财务状况而定。公司在过去十二个月的股价区间最高约为9.15港元、最低约为4.26港元。
本次股份购回授权尚待于2026年5月27日举行的股东周年大会上获正式批准。公司并提示，登记股东有权于5月21日至27日期间出席会议，股份过户登记将于该期间暂停办理。公告强调，购回计划不会导致公司公共持股比例低于上市规定的最低水平。
