TIANDE CHEMICAL (00609) has issued a profit warning, expecting a significant decline in its financial performance for the six months ending June 30, 2026.

In a filing, the company announced that the profit attributable to owners of the company for the fiscal period is projected to decrease by approximately 34% compared to the same period last year. This estimated reduction is primarily attributed to two factors: (i) a substantial foreign exchange loss arising from the conversion of USD-denominated trade receivables and bank deposits into Renminbi, due to a notable appreciation of the Renminbi; and (ii) a significant increase in transportation costs, driven by stricter safety measures implemented during the transport of products containing hazardous components, following a rise in sales volume of such products.
