Airline Stocks Jump as U.S. July Airfares See Biggest Monthly Gain in Over Three Years
US airline fares jumped 4% in July after a 0.1% decline in June, marking the largest monthly increase in over three years., according to the BLS.
Frontier rose 16%; JetBlue rose 9%; American Airlines and Alaska Air rose 8%; United Airlines rose 7%; Delta Air rose 6%; Southwest Airlines rose 4%; Ryanair and Boeing rose 2%.
