新宇环保(00436)宣布，于股东周年大会上将提呈授权董事在规定期间内，于香港联合交易所有限公司或其他合法证券交易场所购回不超过公司已发行股份总数10%的股份。公司已发行股份总数为3,035,697,018股，若获股东批准，回购上限为303,569,701股。
新宇环保表示，回购所需资金将来自于法律及组织章程大纲所允许的可动用资金，并符合开曼群岛法及上市规则的相关规定。董事会认为，此举有助于在适当时机提升公司每股资产净值及盈利表现，符合公司及股东的整体利益。
截至2025年4月至2026年4月，相关股份于市场的最高成交价约为0.097港元，最低成交价约为0.049港元。公司计划于2026年5月22日召开股东周年大会审议上述授权期间的股份购回事宜，并将于6月2日至6月5日暂停办理股份过户登记，以便分派末期股息。
