DingTalk, the intelligent mobile office platform under Alibaba Group Holding Ltd (SEHK: 9988) (NYSE: BABA), is experiencing another significant leadership change. Reports indicate that Yang Meng, DingTalk's Global Business President and head of Customer Development, has resigned and plans to join affiliate Ant Group Co., Ltd.

Sources cited in the report suggest that Yang Meng voluntarily initiated his departure, with the organizational change expected to be officially announced in the near term. His commercialization responsibilities are anticipated to be taken over by Ren Qing, DingTalk's Vice President for the Wukong business unit. This marks another high-level executive departure for DingTalk in a short period, following the resignation of its former CEO, Chen Hang, in June.

Following the earlier departure, the new CEO, Chen Yusen, issued a company-wide memo announcing a comprehensive restructuring of the direct sales, telesales, service partner, pre-sales, delivery, and customer success teams. This restructuring led to the creation of the Customer Development department, which was placed under Yang Meng's full authority, reporting directly to the CEO. Public records show that Yang Meng, an early employee of Alibaba (employee number 598), joined the company in 2002. He began his career as a frontline sales representative in the China Supplier business, accumulating substantial management and hands-on experience. In 2019, he was transferred to DingTalk to oversee sales operations, later being promoted to Global Business President. In this role, he was responsible for building and expanding the direct sales, channel partner, key account, and ecosystem commercialization systems. Under his leadership, DingTalk's Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) climbed rapidly from over $100 million in 2023 to more than $200 million in the first half of last year.
