Recently, Daxing Airport celebrated the seventh anniversary of its opening, with the "925 Aviation Travel Carnival" series of themed events kicking off on the fourth floor of the terminal building.

Over the seven years since beginning operations, Daxing Airport has continued to densify its domestic and international route network, with a cumulative total of 72 domestic and international airlines based there, connecting to more than 210 destinations worldwide, handling over 1.69 million inbound and outbound flights, and serving more than 238 million passengers. In 2026, it has already facilitated the smooth travel of over 41 million passengers.

At the opening ceremony, a themed fashion show titled "New Gateway, Stylish Airport" and national-trend dance performances including lion dances were staged, showcasing the unique charm of the airport. The Moscow Tourism Committee and China Eastern Airlines presented tourism resource promotions. Daxing Airport signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation with the Hainan Department of Tourism, Culture, Radio, Television and Sports to promote quality tourism resources and achieve practical cooperation outcomes.

Multiple exhibition zones were set up at the event site, with nearly 70 booths arranged by domestic and international airlines, airports, and local culture and tourism departments, providing passengers with aviation and travel information, as well as a rich array of interactive activities and travel benefits.

As a key highlight of the opening ceremony, Daxing Airport, together with airlines and social media influencers, released seven service products centered on the "Enjoyable Journey" service brand. The new products comprehensively cover core scenarios such as check-in, security screening, boarding, and international travel. The industry-first international check-in "Early Arrival, Any Counter" service breaks the long-standing convention of dedicated counters for international flights, making check-in more flexible and convenient, allowing early arrivals to check in early at any counter. It is the first in China to introduce domestic flight check-in one day in advance, enabling tomorrow's flight to be processed today. The "One-ID Boarding" paperless travel allows passengers to complete check-in, security screening, and boarding using only a single ID card, making travel faster and more relaxed. Easy security channels have been set up at all domestic security checkpoints, saving an average of about three minutes per person and further improving screening efficiency. On the Beijing-Guangzhou-Daxing express line, voluntary rebooking across airlines for passengers has been implemented on a pilot basis. A Daxing Airport China-Russia aviation product was released. An intelligent customer service product has been launched, allowing passengers to obtain clear and accurate answers at any time without queuing or making phone calls.

During the event, Daxing Airport also joined forces with more than 40 entities including culture and tourism departments from Beijing, Hainan, and Guangzhou, airlines, airports, and travel agencies to conduct exchanges on aviation-tourism integration, route network development, and cross-border tourism products, aiming to fully tap the value of Daxing Airport as an international aviation hub platform and attract and promote more precise linkages of broader cultural and tourism resources.

As the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day "double holiday" approaches, it is predicted that Daxing Airport will operate 11,040 flights during the Mid-Autumn and National Day holiday period, averaging 1,104 flights per day, a year-on-year increase of about 11% compared with last year's daily average, and will serve 1.79 million passengers, averaging 170,000 per day, a year-on-year increase of about 10% compared with last year's daily average. The peak day is expected to occur on October 1, with approximately 1,150 flights operated and about 180,000 passengers served.

During the holiday period, Daxing Airport will assess weather and passenger flow conditions in advance, work closely with air traffic control, airlines, and all on-site units to strengthen coordination and strive to ensure flight punctuality. Multiple themed cultural activities will be held in the terminal building, including special ethnic instrumental music performances and national-style garden party interactions.

Daxing Airport reminds passengers that during the holiday travel peak, they should check their carry-on luggage and items in advance to ensure compliance with security regulations, and allow sufficient time for various boarding procedures to avoid delaying their travel arrangements.
