Prudential plc executes S$12.6 million share buyback

Prudential plc announced that it repurchased a total of 737,500 ordinary shares on Sep, 09 2026, acquiring the stock on the London Stock Exchange for cancellation. The purchases were executed in two tranches: 392,443 shares bought at prices between GBP 9.914 and GBP 10.075 for a total of about GBP 3.92 million, and 345,057 shares acquired within the same price range for roughly GBP 3.45 million.

The combined consideration of the repurchases amounts to approximately 7.37 million pounds, equivalent to about 12.6 million Singapore dollars.

Following the cancellations completed on Sep, 09 2026, Prudential plc’s issued share capital stands at 2,492,188,405 shares, down from 2,492,828,558.

The transactions were conducted under shareholder mandates granted at the company’s 2025 and 2026 Annual General Meetings. After these repurchases, a total of 1,737,921 shares have been bought back under the 2026 authority, representing 0.0689 per cent of the issued shares as of May, 28 2026.

The company is subject to a moratorium on new share issues or treasury share sales until Oct, 09 2026, in line with prevailing share-repurchase regulations.
