Concord New Energy Group Limited issued a supplemental announcement on 25 March 2026, referring to its earlier disclosures dated 14 January and 25 February 2026 concerning a major transaction under the Project Construction (PC) Agreement.
Geopolitical tensions and military conflicts in the Middle East, compounded by changes in U.S. tariff policies, have significantly driven up global commodity prices and disrupted international shipping logistics. Management stated that these external shocks have materially affected project costs and construction timelines, rendering the original PC Agreement terms unsuitable.
To address these unforeseen developments, the company has opened negotiations with the project contractor to enter into a Supplemental Agreement that would amend the existing contract. If negotiations fail, termination of the PC Agreement remains a possible outcome.
Concord New Energy confirmed that any finalized Supplemental Agreement—or a decision to terminate—will trigger a further announcement and the dispatch of a shareholder circular in accordance with Hong Kong Listing Rules.
The board cautioned shareholders and potential investors that no agreement has yet been secured and advised prudent handling of the company’s securities until definitive terms are reached.
