On October 17, NIO's legal department announced that the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, along with five other departments, has recently launched a special campaign to rectify the network chaos in the automotive industry. This initiative identifies behaviors such as "defaming automotive companies or products, tarnishing company or product reputations," as well as "using generative artificial intelligence technology to produce false content" as key targets for enforcement. NIO fully supports and actively cooperates with this special action to legally protect the rights and interests of the company and its users, fostering a clear online environment.
The holder of the online account "BelieveDB," Dong Bin, has long used platforms like Weibo since 2023 to continuously and intensively make false statements directed at NIO and its users, attacking and defaming them, which seriously damages the legal rights of NIO and its users while polluting the online environment. Recently, the court ruled against Dong Bin in the first instance, ordering him to immediately cease infringement, publicly apologize to NIO, and compensate NIO for damages. This lawful judgment exemplifies the determination to combat online chaos and underlines the active role of law in maintaining a fair online environment.
Additionally, we noted that the online account "Roadside Information Society" has disseminated rumors related to NIO in the capital markets through its WeChat public account, filled with a significant amount of AI-generated false information. Once these rumors were released, numerous online accounts began to spread them en masse across various platforms, severely damaging NIO's reputation and market environment. We have collected evidence against "Roadside Information Society" as well as multiple online accounts involved in the rumor dissemination and reported them to the public security authorities. Currently, an investigation has been initiated.
NIO will resolutely advance legal proceedings to pursue legal responsibility from the related parties. On September 11, NIO's legal department reported that the holder of the online account "2018 Protection Dragon," Xiang Ting, has ignored national laws and released thousands of statements attacking, defaming, and insulting NIO and its users across multiple platforms over the past year, seriously jeopardizing the legitimate rights of NIO and its users while disturbing the online environment. The court recently issued a first instance judgment ordering Xiang Ting to delete all infringing content, publicly apologize to NIO, and compensate for economic losses.
In September, NIO delivered 34,749 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 64.1%. In the three months ending September 2025, NIO delivered a total of 87,071 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 40.8%.
