BIOHEART-B (ASX: 02185) has announced that its subsidiary, Shanghai Antong Medical Technology Co., Ltd. (Antong), has completed the registration of the Iberis® multi-electrode renal artery radiofrequency ablation catheter system (the Iberis® RDN System) in Israel.

This registration was achieved with the joint support of Antong and Biosensors International Group, Ltd. (Biosensors). The two companies have established a strategic partnership for commercializing the Iberis® RDN System across multiple regions, including but not limited to the European Union, the Asia-Pacific region, and Latin America (LATAM).

As of the announcement date, the Iberis® RDN System is stated to be the only renal denervation (RDN) product globally approved for use via both the transradial approach (TRA) and the transfemoral approach (TFA). The TRA method is noted for making RDN procedures safer, more effective, and more cost-efficient.

The company's ultimate objective is to provide outpatient RDN procedures for patients worldwide. Antong previously secured CE Marking for the Iberis® RDN System in Europe back in 2016.
