SPT Energy Group Inc. (the “Company,” together with its subsidiaries, the “Group”) has announced the successful award of the development rights for Block VI of the Talara Oilfield in Peru. According to formal notification received on 22 November 2025 from PERUPETRO S.A., a petroleum company in Peru, the Group passed the qualification review process outlined in the tender documents and secured the signing rights for the hydrocarbon extraction license agreement. The development project has an oil exploitation period of 30 years.
The Talara Oilfield is located in the Talara Basin of Piura Province, Peru, which is recognized as the origin of the country’s petroleum industry. The Group will manage the Project’s development and production by remediating old wells, drilling new wells, and applying enhanced oil recovery technologies, with the goal of maintaining stable production and supporting steady growth.
During the tender process, the Group focused on development blocks with established production foundations while avoiding high-risk areas. This approach was aimed at minimizing preliminary investment risks and ensuring robust operations over the entire lifecycle of the Project.
The successful award of this tender is considered a key milestone in the Group’s South American oil and gas portfolio. It is expected to increase the Group’s market share in crucial overseas markets and bolster its global industry influence. In line with its development strategy, the Group plans to continue exploring promising overseas projects, pursue a broader global footprint, and deepen its integration of technology innovation to advance toward becoming a globally competitive integrated oil and gas services enterprise. Shareholders and potential investors are advised to exercise caution when dealing in the shares of the Company.
