The main pavement construction for the upgrade of Provincial Highway 505, specifically the section from Xindi in Longxu to Tandong in Teng County, has been successfully completed. A smooth and wide asphalt road has now taken shape. The upgraded road surface is shown in a photo by Xiang Lin.

The project begins north of Tandan Village in Xindi Town, Longxu District, forming a T-junction with National Highway 207. It ends west of the Longtangshan area in Tandong Village, Tengzhou Town, Teng County, forming another T-junction with National Highway 321. The route spans a total length of 27.016 kilometers, connecting multiple towns and villages in Xindi Town of Longxu District and Tengzhou Town of Teng County. It serves as a vital corridor for local travel and goods transportation.

Constructed to the standard of a two-lane, bidirectional secondary road, the project has a design speed of 60 kilometers per hour. It features three different subgrade widths—12 meters, 13.5 meters, and 17 meters—applied differentially along the route. The entire road uses an asphalt concrete pavement.

As an important transport link between Longxu District and Teng County, the project carries high expectations from the public for more convenient travel. Upon full completion, it will further enhance the city's comprehensive transport network, effectively alleviate traffic congestion in Xindi Town, address the previous issue of bumpy and uneven road surfaces, and significantly improve overall road network efficiency and service quality. This upgrade will support the implementation of the city's strategy to strengthen its transportation infrastructure and provide solid transport backing for promoting high-quality regional economic and social development.

Currently, the Guidong Highway Development Center is accelerating construction timelines and strictly managing project quality to fully advance the construction of supporting facilities along the route. Efforts are focused on completing the supporting infrastructure upgrades as soon as possible to achieve full quality compliance for the entire highway.
