Nokia Oyj's stock price surged 5.06% during Tuesday's intraday trading session, marking a significant upward movement for the telecommunications equipment giant.

The rally is attributed to growing investor optimism surrounding the company's recently launched AI-RAN platform, developed in partnership with NVIDIA. The industry's first commercial platform of its kind has demonstrated over 20% spectral efficiency gains, with targets of 50% by 2027 and exceeding 100% by 2028. The subscription-based software model, which enables network upgrades without hardware refreshes, is seen as a key growth catalyst for Nokia's future in 4G, 5G, and upcoming 6G networks.

Additionally, market participants are positioning ahead of Nokia's scheduled second-quarter earnings report. Analysts expect the company to post earnings of 7 cents per share, continuing a year-over-year improvement trend, with revenue projected to rise 13.6% to $5.855 billion. The communication equipment sector also appears to be experiencing a broad recovery after recent declines.
