LEGEND UPSTAR (00459) announced that Newbury Financial Services Limited (Newbury), a licensed corporation authorized under the Securities and Futures Ordinance to conduct Type 1 (dealing in securities) and Type 6 (advising on corporate finance) regulated activities, has been appointed as the independent financial advisor. Newbury will provide advice to the independent board committee, comprising all independent non-executive directors (namely Mr. Sha Bao, Mr. Wong Chung Kwong, and Mr. Li Weiqiang), regarding the proposed transaction and scheme.
