China Qinfa Group Limited (00866) announced an update on the coal mining development progress of its wholly owned subsidiary, PT Trisula Sumber Energi (TSE), in South Kalimantan, Indonesia. The mining concession covers 168 square kilometers and holds a license valid for 10 years until 14 May 2034, with the possibility of a further 10-year renewal.
According to a competent person’s report prepared by SRK Consulting China Limited under the JORC Code (2012 Edition), TSE Coal Mine is in the pre-operational planning phase, with construction expected to commence in the first quarter of 2026. The coal under TSE Coal Mine has a reported calorific value generally ranging from 4,990 to 6,056 Kcal/kg, higher than the Group’s existing SDE Coal Mine of around 4,500 Kcal/kg.
The latest estimates indicate TSE Coal Mine’s coal reserves at 378.79 million metric tonnes, and its measured and indicated coal resources at 897.14 million metric tonnes as of 30 September 2025. The announcement advises shareholders and potential investors to exercise caution when dealing in the company’s securities and to seek professional advice if necessary.
