On July 6, The S&P 500 maintained its positive momentum on Monday following a strong week on Wall Street. The broad market index gained 0.46%, while the Nasdaq Composite advanced 0.7%, as markets started a new trading week following Friday’s U.S. Independence Day holiday. The Dow Jones Industrial Average traded up 99.85 points, or 0.19%, and hit a new all-time intraday high.
Tech stocks rose broadly. The State Street Technology Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLK) climbed more than 1%, led by a 7% climb in Western Digital and a 5% jump in Teradyne. Intel and SanDisk gained more than 3%; Marvell Technology and Oracle rose more than 3% and more than 2%, respectively.
