On July 6, TCL Electronics rose 8.66% in regular trading, trading at HK$14.58/share, with turnover of HK$117 million. The rally was driven by the signing of a major production expansion agreement in Huizhou.

Huizhou Zhongkai High-tech Zone Management Committee signed an investment cooperation framework agreement with TCL Ace Electronics (Huizhou) Co., Ltd. TCL plans to expand production capacity in Zhongkai, adding 10 million smart TV units in annual capacity, with full commissioning expected by early 2028. Upon completion, the Zhongkai display industry cluster will exceed 50 million units in annual capacity, making it the world's largest television manufacturing base. Concurrently, TCL Ace Electronics (Huizhou) increased its registered capital from approximately HK$17.2 billion to HK$31 billion, representing an increase of roughly 80%.

The expansion reinforces TCL Electronics' global leadership ambitions following its Q1 results showing adjusted attributable profit up 140% year-on-year to HK$3.84 billion, and its strategic joint venture with Sony in home entertainment signed earlier this year.
