COUNTRY GARDEN Shares Surge Over 10% in Afternoon Trading, Marking a 25% Weekly Gain Amid Accelerated Overseas Debt Restructuring

COUNTRY GARDEN (02007) rose more than 10% in afternoon trading, bringing its cumulative gain for the week to over 25%. At the time of writing, the stock was up 10.61% to HKD 0.365, with a turnover of HKD 268 million. On the news front, COUNTRY GARDEN announced on February 16 that the Hong Kong High Court had dismissed a liquidation petition filed against the company. On the same day, according to a share issuance statement disclosed by COUNTRY GARDEN, the total number of issued shares has reached 41.655 billion, with 13.727 billion new shares issued following the implementation of the restructuring plan. Furthermore, COUNTRY GARDEN has paid creditors a cash consideration of USD 398 million, representing approximately 2% of the principal of the restructured debt, with an execution efficiency significantly exceeding market expectations.
