自12月下旬以来，特斯拉股价仍累计下跌约24%。不过相比今年早些时候近50%的跌幅已显著回升，当时马斯克推动的"政府效率部（DOGE）"计划引发广泛争议。上月特斯拉公布第一季度利润暴跌71%后，马斯克表示将减少政府事务投入，重新聚焦特斯拉业务。
但品牌受损似乎具有更持久影响。Axios与哈里斯民意调查最新研究显示，特斯拉和SpaceX的企业声誉均大幅下滑。根据欧洲汽车制造商协会数据，特斯拉在欧洲和英国的销量同比下降49%。
