新的全球最低企业税去年对GE航空航天（GE Aerospace）的利润造成了冲击，并促使该公司向新加坡缴纳了更多税款。
这项由140个国家达成的协议关键条款已于2025年生效。其实施过程并非一帆风顺，美国近期争取到了对规则进行修改，使其对美国公司更为宽松。然而，税收是实实在在的，并且正开始出现在企业的年度申报文件中。
作为协议的一部分，新加坡采纳了15%的最低税率，GE航空航天因此受到影响。在2024年和2023年，该公司每年都因一项特别协商的税率而获得了1.36亿美元的税收优惠。
但根据该公司的申报文件，去年由于这项全球协议，其税收优惠比原本应得的数额减少了1.21亿美元。在现金收付制基础上，该公司去年向新加坡缴纳的税款超过了向其他任何国家缴纳的金额。GE航空航天的一位女发言人拒绝对此置评。
