Shenzhen's municipal authorities have rolled out a comprehensive roadmap to accelerate the commercialization of humanoid robots and embodied intelligence. The new work plan, covering the period from 2026 to 2028, was jointly released by the Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology and the Municipal Bureau of Science and Technology Innovation.

The plan emphasizes a coordinated push at both city and district levels to integrate humanoid robots and embodied intelligence products into at least ten real-world deployment sites. These sites are spread across three core sectors: industrial manufacturing, everyday services, and specialized environments, with the goal of transitioning these technologies from trial phases into active operational use.

A key milestone under the initiative is the creation of more than three high-value application scenarios by the end of 2026. This strategic step is designed to fast-track the large-scale adoption of humanoid robotics and embodied intelligence, positioning Shenzhen as a frontrunner in the intelligent robotics sector.
