On May 28, BYD held the "Dare to Innovate" intelligent strategy launch event in Shenzhen. President Wang Chuanfu announced that the entire BYD vehicle lineup can be equipped with the advanced "Tianshen Zhiyan B" assisted driving system with lidar, ushering in an era of widespread urban navigation assistance. In addition to models that come standard with the "Tianshen Zhiyan B" system, related models featuring the "Tianshen Zhiyan C" system can also opt for the "Tianshen Zhiyan B" upgrade to gain urban navigation capabilities, with an optional cost of 12,000 yuan. Wang Chuanfu stated that BYD's three major goals for the next phase of its intelligent strategy are zero traffic accidents, a super driver system, and a super assistant system. Currently, the further popularization of urban navigation is constrained by three issues: high cost, poor usability, and low user confidence. BYD aims to lower the barrier to entry for urban navigation, enhance full-chain controllability of the assisted driving system, and make urban navigation accessible to more users.
