CNOOC (00883) has issued an announcement that, during the period from March 5, 2026 to October 8, 2026, China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC Group) increased its holdings of the company's 3.1866 million A-shares through the Shanghai Stock Exchange trading system via centralized bidding, representing approximately 0.0067% of the company's total issued shares, with an increase amount of RMB 99.9972 million (excluding taxes and fees); and increased its holdings of the company's 7.514 million Hong Kong shares through the Hong Kong Stock Connect trading system, representing approximately 0.0158% of the company's total issued shares, with an increase amount of RMB 149 million (excluding taxes and fees).

As of October 8, 2026, under this shareholding increase plan, CNOOC Group has cumulatively increased its holdings of the company's A-shares by 3.8921 million shares, representing approximately 0.0082% of the company's total issued shares, with a cumulative increase amount of RMB 130 million (excluding taxes and fees); and has cumulatively increased its holdings of the company's Hong Kong shares by 31.812 million shares, representing approximately 0.0669% of the company's total issued shares, with a cumulative increase amount of RMB 522 million (excluding taxes and fees).

As of October 8, 2026, more than half of the originally planned shareholding increase period has passed, but due to the impact of various factors such as overseas geopolitical conditions, significant fluctuations in international crude oil prices, and changes in the capital markets, the actual total increase amount has not reached 50% of the lower limit of the planned amount range.

CNOOC Group will subsequently continue to increase its holdings of the company's shares at appropriate times using its own funds in accordance with this shareholding increase plan. This shareholding increase plan complies with the relevant provisions of the Securities Law of the People's Republic of China and other relevant laws and regulations. CNOOC Group and its persons acting in concert undertake not to reduce their holdings of the company's shares during the implementation period of this shareholding increase plan and within the statutory period.
