Recently, following an assessment by the Deyang Tourism Resource Planning and Development Quality Evaluation Committee, the Deyang Confucian Temple Scenic Area and the Liushaoyan Urban Leisure Scenic Area have been officially rated as National AAA-Level Tourist Attractions. The Deyang Confucian Temple Scenic Area, situated within the urban center of Deyang, features a well-preserved, large-scale Confucian Temple renowned for its distinct local characteristics, one of the most significant of its kind in Western China. Over the years, this site has hosted a series of influential international and domestic academic events, including the "Confucius and Confucian Temple Academic Seminar," the "International Seminar on the Protection and Utilization of Confucian Temples," and the "Zhang Shi Academic Seminar," all focusing on Confucius, Confucian temples, and Confucianism. The area has also launched a cultural and creative competition, designing the IP character "De Confucius," developing study programs based on Confucius's "Six Arts," and organizing traditional cultural activities such as the Spring Festival Temple Fair, the Spring and Autumn Worship Ceremonies for Confucius, Coming-of-Age Ceremonies, Initiation Ceremonies, and Mid-Autumn Festival folk rituals. Experiencing Confucian culture and celebrating traditional festivals at the Deyang Confucian Temple has become a major new attraction for visitors. In 2023, driven by the "Culture and Tourism Leading the Way" strategy, the "Brilliant Confucian Temple, Dazzling Deyang" 2023 Deyang Confucian Temple Cultural Week was a resounding success, propelling Deyang into the national spotlight with numerous media outlets frequently highlighting its unique cultural and tourism IP; the Deyang Confucian Temple was even honored as Sichuan's most popular online check-in destination.

The Liushaoyan Urban Leisure Scenic Area is located at the intersection of Tianshan South Road and the Chengdu-Mianyang Expressway in Jingyang District. Centered around the Liushaoyan Wetland Park, which began construction in 2018 and spans approximately 1.96 million square meters, the area first opened to the public in early 2019. Focusing on wetland ecology, the park is divided into six themed zones, including wetland trails, cycling greenways, waterfront leisure areas, and smart science education areas, seamlessly blending ecological conservation with urban recreation. The Mianyuan River flows through the park, creating seasonal flower sea landscapes; its ecological features, such as viewing rapeseed flowers in spring and sunflowers in autumn, attract a large number of tourists. Supported by facilities like the Ledu Plaza commercial complex and a DoubleTree by Hilton hotel, the area has developed into an urban ecological complex integrating natural experiences, family entertainment, and cultural consumption. In recent years, the site has repeatedly hosted the Sichuan Camping Season events, gradually establishing itself as a prominent urban culture and tourism brand for Deyang and the wider Sichuan region.
