PBOC to Conduct Overnight Reverse Repos From Aug 27 to Sept 1 With Daily Cap of 600 Billion Yuan

On August 24, financial market sources indicated that the People's Bank of China (PBOC) has announced its plan to execute overnight reverse repurchase agreements from August 27 through September 1. This initiative aims to better align with the short-term liquidity demands of the banking system.

The operations will employ a fixed interest rate mechanism with quantity-based bidding, and the daily transaction volume for these reverse repos will not exceed 600 billion yuan.
