On April 13, the finals of the first MEITU Product Challenge (Meitu Hatch Catch) recently concluded. In an internal company letter regarding MHC, MEITU founder Wu Xinhong stated that he observed many traces of "secondary attributes" in the competition entries. He emphasized that at MEITU, product development is not the exclusive skill of product managers but rather an obsession with solving user pain points. Anyone who truly understands users and does not set limits for themselves has the opportunity to create excellent products.
Wu Xinhong expressed, "I believe that among these ideas, there will certainly be good products capable of achieving global success. In the future, the company will also establish mechanisms to provide a more accommodating environment for innovation, making this kind of product innovation part of our daily work, not just an annual competition."
According to official disclosures from MEITU, this product challenge primarily focused on the field of overseas imaging productivity tools. A total of 207 teams ultimately participated in the competition, successfully delivering 136 functional AI product demos. To promote the implementation of innovative results, MEITU is providing stock incentives and special incubation funds for outstanding projects, ensuring that innovation does not remain solely at the internal evaluation stage.
