Westlake AI Intelligence announced today the completion of a series seed and angel financing round exceeding 100 million yuan, with investors including InnoAngel Fund, Oriental Jiabo Fund, Zhengxuan Investment, Tianqi Capital, Westlake Innovation Investment Fund, and Jinma Investment.
Founded in January 2026, the company's core team is incubated from the Westlake University Autonomous Intelligent Lab (AutoLab), led by founder Yu Kaicheng, who heads the lab. Westlake AI Intelligence focuses on the Physical AI direction of general physical intelligence, aiming to build implicit concept world models. It provides general physical intelligence base capabilities for applications such as autonomous driving, general-purpose robots, industrial smart devices, intelligent hardware, and simulation data generation.
According to the company, the funds from this round will be used to construct a dataset of tens of millions of physical interaction trajectories and to expand its supercomputing cluster. Westlake AI Intelligence has simultaneously initiated its next funding round, targeting full-scenario deployment of general physical intelligence in industrial automation and embodied intelligence sectors.
