At the 2026 Asia Logistics Biennale, CIDI-NEW (03881) held a launch event showcasing its core advancements in moving towards "Heavy-Duty Embodied Intelligence." The company unveiled the industry's first V2P (Vehicle-to-Pedestrian) portable smart terminal, TAG, and signed cooperation agreements with Proton Motors and Cloud Deep Technology. The concept involves deploying machines to perform the most hazardous tasks. This intelligence aims to equip heavy machinery with autonomous operational capabilities through smart technology. Such machinery is used in scenarios like wall-breaking, drilling, explosive loading, excavation, loading, and heavy-duty transport, representing the most robust production tools. Physical AI endows these heavy machines with a complete perception system, a decision-making brain, and execution capabilities, enabling them to operate independently in extremely complex production environments and collaborate with other machines to accomplish integrated scene tasks. A formula helps understand it: Heavy-Duty Embodied Intelligence = Physical AI × Heavy Machinery × High-Risk Operations. Physical AI is the technological engine, heavy machinery is the physical carrier, and high-risk operations are the application scenario.
"Autonomous driving is essentially an autonomous mobile wheeled robot. CIDI-NEW has already accumulated core robotic technologies and data in heavy-duty control, extreme condition perception, and cluster scheduling. Extending from wheeled robots to excavation, mining, drilling, and explosive loading robots is a natural progression along the same technological lineage," stated Dr. Hu Sibo, CEO of CIDI-NEW, during the launch event.
This innovative technology is being continuously validated in real commercial scenarios. Currently, various intelligent products from CIDI-NEW have been deployed at scale in resource mining and transportation, logistics, major infrastructure, and transportation engineering sectors, with total shipments exceeding 20,000 units. By replacing or augmenting high-risk, labor-intensive manual work, it continuously unlocks deeper operational efficiency in industrial and mining operations, driving a generational leap in heavy-duty productivity.
CIDI-NEW positions itself as the "brain" for heavy-duty embodied intelligence. Based on this positioning, the company has constructed a "Heavy-Duty Embodied Intelligence Technology Platform" with a three-layer architecture. The foundation is a unified data engine. It builds a standardized data foundation based on production, environmental, and vehicle data from various scenarios. A multi-modal perception fusion system maintains continuous detection capabilities for all dynamic and static obstacles even under harsh conditions like dust, vibration, extreme weather, and lighting changes.
The middle layer is the heavy-duty world model. It employs an end-cloud collaborative architecture, with terminal action models making millisecond-level real-time decisions and cloud-based training models undergoing continuous iterative evolution. This world model deeply integrates proprietary data from production operation scenarios, heavy robot dynamics, and action space reasoning, and is natively designed for multi-agent collaboration.
The top layer is the cluster decision-making and scheduling system. Aiming for global optimization, it commands multi-category robots to collaborate within the same spatiotemporal domain. This highly mature multi-category cluster intelligence solution has already completed engineering validation in mining scenarios with dense, mixed agents.
At the event, CIDI-NEW also signed cooperation agreements with Proton Motors and Cloud Deep Technology, respectively.
Expanding Globally from a Chinese Base
Heavy-duty embodied intelligence represents a trillion-dollar market driven by both policy and market forces. On the policy front, safety baselines are transforming into top-down drivers for industrial upgrading. On the market side, AI requires computing power, and computing power requires energy. Heavy-duty embodied intelligence sits precisely at the intersection of the AI revolution and energy infrastructure development. The time window is now open. Taking the largest commercialization scenario—mining—as an example, the penetration rate of unmanned mining trucks is currently around 10%, with an inflection point for massive adoption approaching.
An even broader prospect lies in international expansion. As a Chinese company that has taken the lead in commercial validation, CIDI-NEW is bringing China's advantages in heavy-duty embodied intelligence to the global stage. Currently, CIDI-NEW has initiated a global layout focusing on resource-rich nations like Australia, Brazil, and Indonesia, establishing cooperative relationships with multiple mine owners, original equipment manufacturers, and operators. The company plans to gradually cover markets in Africa, Central Asia, and the Middle East in the coming years, achieving commercial batch deliveries and establishing a leading position in overseas heavy-duty scenarios.
