Shares of DEEPEXI TECH (01384) have risen sharply, gaining more than 8%. At the time of writing, the stock is up 5.48%, trading at HK$37.36 with a turnover of HK$124 million.
The catalyst for the move is a significant contract announcement. On June 30th, the company disclosed that it had received a formal award notice from China Communications Construction Group Sixth Engineering Co., Ltd. for an information system tender. DEEPEXI TECH was confirmed as the successful bidder for the project, with a contract value of approximately RMB 22.866 million.
The company has now entered into a formal sales and purchase agreement with the client to supply and deploy an intelligent information system. The total contract price, inclusive of value-added tax, is around RMB 22.866 million. The project's core focus is an intelligent platform related to forestry production and operations.
This collaborative project with China Communications Construction Group Sixth Engineering, titled the "Luzhai Zero-Carbon Industrial Park Intelligent Information System," is positioned as a pioneering county-level AI and digitalization initiative. It aligns with national strategies for the digital economy and high-quality forestry development.
Using Guangxi's Luzhai as a demonstration model, the project aims to build a smart forestry zero-carbon circular industrial park. The collaboration will develop core capabilities including an industrial intelligent trading platform, blockchain warehouse receipt financing, a digital twin financial warehouse, and an AI data asset platform.
