Prudential plc on Feb, 12 2026 reported that it had repurchased 335,257 ordinary shares on the London Stock Exchange on Feb, 11 2026 for an aggregate £3.93 million, paying between £11.655 and £11.87 per share.
Following the cancellation of 383,971 shares bought back on Feb, 9 2026, Prudential’s issued share capital fell to 2.540 billion shares as of Feb, 11 2026. An additional 640,562 shares (acquired on Feb, 10 and Feb, 11 2026) remain to be cancelled.
Under the shareholder mandate approved on May, 14 2025, the insurer is authorised to repurchase up to 262.67 million shares; to date it has bought back 66.93 million shares, representing 2.57 % of the shares outstanding when the mandate was granted.
The company is subject to a moratorium on issuing new shares until Mar, 13 2026, in line with repurchase rules.
