JOYSON ELEC (00699), through its subsidiary Joyson Intelligent Automotive, presented a full range of intelligent automotive solutions at a recent technology exchange exhibition held at Volkswagen Group's global headquarters in Wolfsburg, Germany. A key highlight was the debut of a jointly developed automotive optical communication solution created in partnership with Zhongji Innolight Co., Ltd. (300308). This solution has already achieved mass production readiness.

As automotive electronic/electrical architectures evolve toward comprehensive deep integration, the real-time aggregation of massive sensor data and efficient coordination between multiple domains such as the cockpit and autonomous driving systems are placing unprecedented demands on communication links, latency, and stability. The optical communication solution leverages the inherent advantages of optical technology, including strong anti-interference capabilities, microsecond-level low latency, and high bandwidth. It supports high-speed data transmission protocols like DP, MIPI, and PCIe, enabling the construction of high-speed optical fiber ring networks between central and zone controllers. Core applications include the transmission for 8-megapixel and 17-megapixel high-definition cameras (over distances exceeding 100 meters) and lossless transmission for 4K@120Hz displays, meeting the requirements for advanced autonomous driving and multi-screen cockpits, thereby providing a stable and reliable communication foundation for smart vehicles and immersive experiences.

At the exhibition, JOYSON ELEC also prominently showcased core solutions for the era of "AI-defined vehicles," including central computing units, zone controllers, and the aforementioned automotive optical communication technology. The display concentrated on mature technological achievements across four key areas: intelligent assisted driving, smart cockpits, intelligent connectivity, and vehicle body and safety systems. This comprehensive presentation demonstrated the company's leading-edge R&D capabilities, its product ecosystem adaptable to full-scenario applications, and its end-to-end service capabilities, laying a solid foundation for deepened cooperation in the field of smart mobility.

Among the featured technologies, the nCCU series central computing platform solution, based on Qualcomm's latest high-end platform, supports deep integration of the smart cockpit and intelligent assisted driving domains. It combines flexible computing resource allocation, AI multi-modal interaction capabilities, and powerful processing power, and can be customized to meet the needs of different vehicle models, establishing a more efficient central vehicle processing architecture. This was one of the core technical highlights at the booth.

The nZone series zone controller solutions also attracted significant attention. As a core control unit within a centralized E/E architecture, it effectively reduces the number of vehicle ECUs. While achieving wiring harness weight reduction and cost optimization, it lays the groundwork for AI-defined vehicles. This series integrates functions such as a centralized I/O hub, 12V/48V power distribution, intelligent power distribution, and zonal data centers, simplifying vehicle wiring and production processes to enhance manufacturing efficiency. The three variants with different functional configurations support flexible integration, helping automakers adapt to different vehicle classes and significantly shortening development cycles and time-to-market.

Innovations in travel safety underscore JOYSON ELEC's deep-rooted commitment to safety intelligence. The exhibited nSensor series child presence detection products and the nData intelligent assisted driving data storage system act as protective shields for travel safety. The nSensor series leverages the high precision, anti-interference, and high penetration advantages of UWB technology. While enabling digital key functionality, it effectively monitors subtle bodily activities such as breathing and heartbeat, providing seamless, high-sensitivity detection even in blind spots like footwells or under blankets. The solution not only meets the New Car Assessment Program (NCAP) certification requirements of major global markets but is also among the first in China to pass C-NCAP certification. The nData series complies with global market standards and regulations and is equipped with a self-developed visual data management and analysis tool for precise extraction and rapid analysis of accident data. It secured an order from a luxury automotive brand last year, making it one of the industry's first solutions to receive a mass production order.

By participating in the Volkswagen Group Global Headquarters Technology Exhibition, JOYSON ELEC not only demonstrated the mature capabilities of its mass-production product series but also introduced future technologies aligned with global customer needs. This multi-dimensional and multi-layered technological display highlighted the company's solid strength and innovative vision as a long-term strategic partner of Volkswagen. The company stated it will continue to empower the future of smart mobility with innovative technologies.
