China Vered Finance (00245) surged over 10%, and as of press time, the stock was up 9.8% to HK$1.12 with a trading volume of HK$4.52 million.

On the news front, China Vered Finance recently released its interim results for the six months ended June 30, 2025. The group achieved total revenue of HK$78.846 million, representing a 54.44% year-on-year increase. Profit attributable to owners of the company reached HK$743 million, compared to a loss of HK$20.781 million in the same period last year. Earnings per share stood at 39.96 HK cents.

Previously, China Vered Finance announced that its indirect wholly-owned subsidiary, Zhongmin Strategic Investment Management Holdings Limited, plans to acquire approximately 23.87% and 19.33% of the issued Class A shares of Wisdom Moon (BVI) Limited from Integrated Winners Enterprises Limited and Smart Silver Global Limited respectively, for considerations of HK$284.1 million and HK$230 million respectively, totaling HK$514.1 million.

According to reports, the target company is an investment holding company whose main investment is in Wisdom Group Holdings Limited, a limited company incorporated in the Cayman Islands (together with its subsidiaries collectively referred to as the "Wisdom Group").

The company believes that the commercial vehicle industry's transition to clean energy holds enormous potential, particularly in the growing battery-powered electric vehicle and fuel cell electric vehicle markets. Hydrogen energy is becoming increasingly important for medium and heavy-duty commercial vehicles, and the adoption of fuel cell electric vehicles is expected to accelerate significantly. Leveraging China's efficient and cost-competitive supply chain, the target company (and Wisdom Fujian) is expanding its global market share in the zero-emission commercial vehicle market.
