特斯拉此前曾表示，目标是到2025年实现Semi量产，但现在预计将于今年年底开始生产，明年开始提速。
该公司重申了其5万辆Semi的年产能目标。
最近有报道称，特斯拉Semi的早期客户Ryder表示，特斯拉Semi项目正在经历更多的延期，价格也出现了“大幅”上涨。
他们现在预计将在2026年晚些时候接收首批卡车，并表示由于价格“大幅”上涨，他们不得不将试点项目从42辆特斯拉Semi缩减到18辆。
在2017年最初推出特斯拉Semi时，该公司提到300英里续航里程的卡车价格为15万美元，500英里续航里程的卡车价格为18万美元。特斯拉还以20万美元的价格接受了“基础系列Semi”的订单。
然而，特斯拉在2022年底推出这款卡车的“量产版”时并没有更新价格。有人猜测价格会上涨，但该公司从未证实过。
